Position Summary

Play a vital role in the client experience at Wellesley Bank! Our Banker, internally referred to as a premier relationship banker, provides exceptional, friendly client service through face-to-face, telephone and digital interaction with our clients.  

The primary objective of a Premier Relationship Banker is to help develop strategic clients by understanding our clients and prospects needs and providing a valuable banking experience. On a day to day basis, you will be responsible for assisting clients with teller transactions, opening new accounts, educating our clients on products and services and providing them with a full service banking relationship. This includes knowledge and operational efficiency with our business and personal banking products. Ability to identify opportunities for cross-selling and referrals to the lending department and wealth management.

Ensures efficiency of branch's teller operations. Adheres to bank's policies and procedures concerning vault cash.


  • Ensures continuous premier service and positive public perceptions of the Bank by extending a courteous greeting and welcome to clients and visitors. Provides accurate and timely premier client service.
  • Supports the Bank's objectives and campaigns by developing strategic clients and providing a valuable banking experience
  • Cross-selling basic products, or by referring customers to other Bank employees
  • Adheres to Bank's security and audit procedures.
  • Protects the Bank's financial interests by controlling and balancing the assigned cash drawer and negotiable items received/disbursed. Maintains acceptable balancing record per established standards.
  • Processes client transactions efficiently and accurately. Follow policies/procedures to minimize losses.
  • Answers telephone inquiries. Directs questions to appropriate office personnel. Responds to client mail inquiries. Researches/resolves client problems.
  • Performs routine office and clerical duties (i.e., filing signature cards; preparing bank bag for pickup; night deposit, ATM custodian, etc.).
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


  • 2-4 year's experience in a teller or cash handling position with working knowledge of banking products and services. 
  • Experience in client service or working with the public. 
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent desired.
  • Must be computer literate with experience in Microsoft Word and Excel.
